I grew up away from UK and while growing up my brother and I used to enjoy watching uk tv abroad. I loved the programming then. I would love to say that UK TV is the best n the world. I love the way the media is controlled in the UK, during the years that I was growing up there were no obscene images that were allowed to hit the airwaves during the watershed hours. This is ideally between 5 am and 10 pm. This is the time that the authorities thought that the kids would be around watching TV.
These were the good old days, when kids were protected from things that would probably harm their development. Although things have changed a lot UK TV still remains the best in my eyes. They are still very strict when it comes to the content that is aired during the watershed hours.
